Sermons
Though wisdom calls out in the streets, only a few will turn and listen to her voice. In a world filled with competing voices, endless opinions, and the foolish pursuit of self-made truth, God offers a better way. The book of Proverbs teaches us that “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom”—that true wisdom begins not with human knowledge, experience, or intellect, but with a right reverence for God. He is the source of all wisdom, the giver of wisdom to those who seek Him, and the rewarder of those who faithfully walk in His ways.
Throughout Proverbs, wisdom is presented as a treasure worth pursuing above riches, success, and worldly acclaim. It provides guidance for every area of life—our relationships, speech, work, decisions, and character. Wisdom guards us from the destructive paths of sin and folly and leads us into a life of blessing, stability, and peace. To walk in safety and security is to walk wisely, trusting God’s Word and submitting to His instruction.
As we journey through this sermon series, we will discover what it means to live as wise people in a world of fools. Together, we will learn how God’s wisdom equips us to navigate life’s challenges, avoid the pitfalls of foolishness, and honor the Lord in all that we do. May our hearts be ready to hear wisdom’s call, our minds eager to receive God’s truth, and our lives transformed by the wisdom that comes from above.
